If Your Account Is Suspended

What to do when Threads, Instagram or Facebook suspends or restricts your account

When a platform suspends, locks or restricts your account, AutoPost automatically stops posting to that account (your other accounts keep going) and notifies you on LINE. Follow the steps below to appeal; once the account is restored, reauthorize it and your schedule resumes.

Use Cases

1. Check the account status

Open the platform app and see whether it says the account is disabled or temporarily restricted. Restrictions usually lift within days; a disabled account needs an appeal. Also check whether the linked Instagram account is affected.

2. Appeal once

On the suspension screen, choose "Disagree with decision" / request a review and follow the steps. Threads appeals go through the Instagram Help Center: https://help.instagram.com/contact/783669853451090 . Submit only once; duplicates do not speed it up.

3. Complete identity verification

If you are asked for an ID or a video selfie, complete it in good lighting and follow the instructions exactly. Incomplete verification is a common reason appeals fail.

4. Wait and watch for updates

The platform does not publish review times; it can take days to weeks. Watch in-app notifications, the account status page and emails from Meta (including your spam folder).

5. Reauthorize after it is restored

When the account is back, go to the authorization settings in the Dashboard and reauthorize it. Reauthorizing lifts the AutoPost pause immediately; you can also use Replace to switch to another authorized account.

6. If the appeal is rejected

EU users can appeal to Appeals Centre Europe (appealscentre.eu) within 6 months for free; Meta Verified subscribers can contact live support. A Threads profile can be deleted in settings without affecting Instagram.

Important Notes

Do not create a new account while you wait; it can be treated as evading the suspension and make things worse.

Appeal early: Meta states that a disabled Facebook account is permanently disabled if it is not appealed within 180 days or the appeal fails.

Pro Tips

• AutoPost has safeguards built in: posts shared to Threads are reworded, each account posts at most 6 times a day (3 during its first 14 days), and posting times shift randomly every day.

• After recovery, start at a lower frequency and add real engagement (replying to comments, browsing) so the account is not flagged as automated again.

• Avoid posting identical content to many accounts; add your own perspective and photos.
